The Revelation of John – preface to the Prophecy

In the Beginning

In the beginning was the Void, and within the Void was a great roaring; and the dust of the Void was so brought together that the earth and all the firmament was so created. The same was in the beginning; and there was no man to hear or to see this wonder.

From this roaring and great fire and noise did life first become a force; giving life to all that there was and all that there is, and all that there shall be. And the Life Power was the almighty thing, for without it nothing could live.

And as mankind lived he did gain the light of knowledge and reason, and calculation and truths. And the light did shine in the darkness of man’s mind; and the darkness he comprehended it not, and so did mankind ignore, and so was ignorance born within him.

Mankind, after long eons, developed in his world; and life developed through all things. And the gift of the world to all things was, and is, and forever shall be, life itself; for, without life there can be no thing. And mankind came into his own, and it was good.

Then there came those who were born with the hallowed veil: they were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of the Force of Life itself. And they were made as flesh, as is another of mankind, and they dwelt among us, and men beheld their glory―the glory as of the only-begotten of the Force of The All itself―full of grace and truth.

There was a man born behind a hallowed veil, whose name was John. And he was beloved of Jesus, and was given to keep and to secret his last prophecy along with Peter. Jesus prophesied that one of them would die, and the other should carry the duty that was the knowledge of the Purpose.

The same John was therefore a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all men through him might know of it and have understanding of it, and be saved. That was the true light of certain knowledge, which was there for any man that cometh into the world to gain and to live by, and to do goodly deeds because of it. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that light, and to carry that light and pass it on. He was also commanded to hide these sayings before the eyes of men, where none wouldst see them. The words of Jesus the Christ showed his light that was the true light which might light the way of every man that cometh into the world at the Ending of Days.

Jesus was in the world, and the world knew him not. And, like him, the Seventh shall come unto his own, and his own shall receive him not. But as many as shall receive him, to them shall be given membership of the Sons and Daughters of Light; even to them that show reason, and lay true value upon his name and upon his teachings.

And John bare witness of Jesus; and said onto him, “I do so faithfully, that ye shall be honored by all I do, and all I say and write down for thee; and mankind shall have prior knowledge of he who shall come after thee, and of his purpose. Lord, am I justly worthy of this task?”

And Jesus spake saying, “Verily there is none more fitting. This shall be he of whom I spake, ‘He that cometh after me is preferred before me, for he is before me; and his number shall be ten. He is the First and the Last—so is he chosen’. And of his fullness shall all men receive, and grace for grace shall men receive. For the Covenant was given to Moses by the hand of the Brotherhood of Nazarenes; all that is grace and truth come from them and by them.”

And I, John, am of that hallowed brethren; a witness onto the Sixth and his words, that mankind might live and not die.

And this is the record laid down by me, before the eyes of men, where they shall not see it. Men see only that which they expect to see, and they expect not to see truth. Neither do they expect wisdom.
